SUMMER HOURS 2011
WSU Fencing Club is a community that advances and improves through collaborative training. Consequently, everyone is welcome and lessons are available for free for and from fencers ranging from just hours of local experience to decades of international experience.
Everyone is welcome to come experience WSU Fencing for free. Our armory contains sufficient equipment for a multitude of fencers interested in Foil, Epee, and/or Saber (descriptions of each weapon and of common terms can be found here). Incoming fencers are welcome to use dry equipment for up to 2 practices. After 2 practices, fencers are encouraged to pay club dues, and payment is required before fencers can participate in electric fencing.
As mentioned above, fencers must pay club dues after 2 full practices. This is the only payment required by the club. Money raised from due is used to maintain the armory and equipment. As of Spring 2011, WSU Fencing dues are $40 per semester. This can be compared to average $750 per year dues charged by most other clubs. This is due to aid from the University, and is one of the reasons WSU Fencing is an excellent opportunity for students and faculty.
